Service Details

American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery provides volunteer transportation for cancer patients who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves to get to and from their cancer treatment appointments. Depending on the individual needs and what is available in the area, the American Cancer Society may be able to coordinate a ride with an American Cancer Society volunteer driver.

Eligibility

Clients must be cancer patients traveling to a cancer-related medical appointment. Other eligibility requirements may apply. For example, a caregiver may need to accompany a patient who cannot walk without help or is under 18.

Service Details

Qualified Listeners is a non-profit serving Veterans and their families. Volunteers can provide demand-response transportation to and from appointments, not just medical, not just the VA, including grocery stores and other necessary trips assuming driver availability. Wheelchair accessible van available.

Clients must be U.S. Veterans or family members. Proof of service is required to meet eligibility criteria (typically in the form of a DD-214).

Service Details

zTrip is a commercial taxicab operating in Larimer, Weld, and Boulder Counties for the fares outlined below. Availability of services are dependent on both user demand and operator availability. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available upon request when scheduling a ride. zTrip also provides Dial-a-Ride and Dial-a-Taxi services for Transfort and COLT as well as some medical nonemergent medical transportation through IntelliRide.

Rates $3.50 to enter the vehicle and $2.50 per mile with $0.50/minute any time the vehicle is under 13 miles per hour. $1.00 per additional passenger. Passengers can pay with personal or corporate account, cash, or credit card.

Rural Alternative for Transportation (RAFT)

Service Details

The Rural Alternative for Transportation (RAFT) is a demand-response non-profit volunteer driver organization operating in the Berthoud Fire Protection District. RAFT provides fare-free door-to-door and door-through-door rides  to Berthoud, Loveland, Longmont and adjacent areas for their clients. In most cases, volunteer drivers use their personal vehicles, but RAFT also has a wheelchair accessible van available as needed.

Eligibility

RAFT’s services are available for adults (aged 18 and older) living with a disability and adults over 60 who may not drive living in the Berthoud Fire Protection District. New riders can register by calling (970) 532-0808.

No fees but donations are encouraged.

Monday through Friday 8 AM – 4 PM

Rides must be scheduled at least three days prior to the requested trip and earlier requests are encouraged. Reservations can be made Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 5 PM. Medical trips have priority.

Berthoud Area Transportation System (BATS)

Service Details

BATS provides demand response public transportation for Berthoud residents.

Eligibility

Must reside within the BATS service area.

Fares

60+ Cash Fare: donations only; In-Town Cash Fare: $1; Out-of-Town Cash Fare: $4

Service Hours

In-town trips are provided from 8 AM to 4 PM Monday through Friday.

Out-of-town trips are provided on Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, and Friday from 8 AM to 11:30 AM to Loveland; and Thursday 11:30 AM to 3 PM to Loveland.

Rides should be requested by 4 PM the business day before the trip is needed.

Effective August 31, 2023 BATS will no longer provide trips to Longmont. If you are in need of transportation to the Longmont area, please visit Rural Alternative For Transportation (RAFT).

Service Details

Transfort provides fixed route transit and paratransit (Dial-A-Ride) transportation service Monday-Saturday in Fort Collins. Current route maps, schedules, and fares can be viewed on the Transfort website. Transfort staff provide travel training opportunities by request.

Eligibility

Fixed routes are available to the public. Dial-A-Ride paratransit services are available 3/4 of a mile of every fixed route for individuals whose physical and/or mental disabilities prevent them from using fixed route bus service. MAX Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) serves major activity and employment centers throughout our community including Midtown, CSU and Downtown.

FLEX is a regional bus route serving stops between Fort Collins, Loveland, Berthoud, Longmont, and Boulder.
