American Cancer Society’s Road to Recovery provides volunteer transportation for cancer patients who do not have a ride or are unable to drive themselves to get to and from their cancer treatment appointments. Depending on the individual needs and what is available in the area, the American Cancer Society may be able to coordinate a ride with an American Cancer Society volunteer driver.
Eligibility
Clients must be cancer patients traveling to a cancer-related medical appointment. Other eligibility requirements may apply. For example, a caregiver may need to accompany a patient who cannot walk without help or is under 18.

Qualified Listeners is a non-profit serving Veterans and their families. Volunteers can provide demand-response transportation to and from appointments, not just medical, not just the VA, including grocery stores and other necessary trips assuming driver availability.
