Schoolpool is a free ride-matching and coordination program offered through the RideNoCo Trip Planning Tool that helps families connect with nearby households to share the trip to and from school. It provides a secure system that links families who live close to one another (or along similar routes) so they can arrange carpools, as well as walk, bike, use transit, or ride together when those options make sense.
By reducing the number of single-family drop-offs, Schoolpool can help families skip long pick-up/drop-off lines, save time, and build a stronger sense of school-community connection. DRCOG notes that thousands of families across the Denver region already use Schoolpool, and schools can participate by enrolling to give families access to a school-specific network.
How it works: families create an account, enter their home location (often as an address or nearby intersection), and then search for matches and message other participating families to set up schedules and ground rules. Importantly, Schoolpool is a connection platform; it does not provide drivers, vehicles, or insurance, and participating families are encouraged to screen arrangements to their own satisfaction.
